Our hearing specialist and owner, Keri Paur, grew up in La Crescenta and has dedicated her time to serving the people of her community. We pride ourselves on developing close relationships with our patients and getting to know them and their families, so we can help them reconnect through better hearing. Whether you need help managing hearing loss, tinnitus, or another hearing disorder, we offer flexible hours and a wide range of services to help you.
What to Expect at Your First Appointment
When you come to Hearing Science of the Foothills, you will always be greeted by Nichole, our friendly front office team member. Your initial appointment typically lasts up to one hour. We recommend bringing a family member with you to help you understand the information and recommendations.
To begin, we will first have a conversation to get to know you. We will ask you some questions about your medical history, family history, and your hearing ability.
Then we will perform an ear exam by looking at your ear canal and eardrum with an otoscope. Once we’ve determined your ears are clear, then we can begin the hearing evaluation.
We will explain what to expect during the hearing exam and assess your ability to hear different sounds in noise and in quiet.
After we’ve tested your hearing, we will go over the results of your audiogram and answer any questions you or your family member may have.
If you would be a good candidate for hearing aids, we will recommend a device that matches your unique needs.

Hearing Science of the Foothills is a preferred hearing care provider for the NFL Players Association’s Professional Athletes Foundation. Through this partnership, the PAF aims to bring better hearing to former professional athletes and their fans across the nation. Together, we spread awareness, help players in need of hearing care, and collected data on the connection between hearing loss and professional football.
